Where we have worked.
What we actually did.

DDive supports businesses in the United States. We review their inspection footage and produce the documentation, we plan their rehabilitation work and work out solutions for the defects that surface, and we build the systems they run their companies on: automation, AI, accounting for the wastewater trade, personnel planning. Every system cut to the business it runs in.

We do not publish client names. The work below is described in full; only the client stays anonymous.

Documentation and rehabilitation planning for sewer contractors

Situation

Crews record more than the office can code. Every uncoded run is a job that cannot be invoiced, and eventually a job the contractor has to turn down.

What we did

We review the footage and produce the complete documentation. Coding follows the format the client requires, in the client's own system and under the client's license. On top of that: rehabilitation planning and worked-out solutions for the defects the footage reveals.

Outcome

Contractors deliver on time without building an in-house coding team.

02Los Angeles, California

Automating sewer cleaning and inspection contractors

Situation

Separate systems for dispatch, documentation, invoicing and sales. Data entered several times, processes tied to individual people, and a large share of working hours going into administration instead of billable work.

What we did

Reviewed the internal workflow and automated the technical and the commercial side. Connected the existing systems to each other, advised on equipment purchases, and introduced AI where it actually removes work. Alongside that, support on rehabilitation planning and on problems in day-to-day operations.

Outcome

One continuous flow from the job site to the invoice, without double entry.

Complete operating systems for sewer maintenance businesses

Situation

Contractors pay for a stack of third-party programs that do not talk to each other, and tie staff to work that can be automated. Off-the-shelf software from other industries rarely fits how a sewer operation actually runs.

What we did

We build the system the business needs instead of bending the business around existing software. Automation of internal processes, our own AI systems, accounting built for the wastewater trade, personnel management, documentation, and connections to the tools already in use. Every package is cut to the individual business.

Outcome

Less spend on third-party software, less time in administration, more capacity for billable work.

Wash water system at a concrete plant

Situation

The plant had to clean its wash water effectively and reuse it on site instead of discharging it.

What we did

Supported the wastewater treatment at the plant, sized and improved the wash water system, and developed the concept for cleaning and reuse.

Outcome

The wash water stays in the plant's loop.

05Canada

Water and treatment planning in mining

Situation

Processing excavated material produces water that has to be captured, treated and routed before it leaves the site.

What we did

Planned the water routing and the treatment, and laid out the workflow for day-to-day operations.

Outcome

A concept the operation could implement.

06England

Rehabilitation concepts for a wastewater treatment works

Situation

An existing plant needed a workable concept for its repair and upgrade.

What we did

DDive acted as the consulting firm, developed the rehabilitation concepts for the plant and supported them through the project.

Outcome

A workable rehabilitation concept for the existing asset, without replacement construction.

07Dubai, United Arab Emirates

Wastewater planning for a hotel group

Situation

Several properties needed coordinated wastewater planning.

What we did

Supported the planning of wastewater routing across the sites.

Outcome

One planning basis for the group.

08Switzerland, Canton of Aargau

Process optimization of an HTC plant producing biochar from wastewater

Situation

A hydrothermal carbonization plant recovers biochar from wastewater. The plant was running, but the pipework caused recurring faults and the quality of the end product varied.

What we did

Fault analysis on the running plant and optimization of the processes. Fixed the problems in the pipework, maintained and secured plant function. Worked out solutions for a consistently high-grade end product, supported the plant settings and carried out part of the technical work. Every step documented.

Outcome

Stable operation and an end product of consistent quality.

09Bavaria, Germany

Automation and AI integration at a wastewater treatment works

Situation

A treatment works with water processing ran on procedures that tied up manual work and personal experience.

What we did

Supported the plant, automated the processes, integrated AI into the existing workflow, and improved the way the work is organized.

Outcome

Automated processes on a plant in live operation, no longer dependent on individuals.

10Switzerland

Groundwater and infiltration in a tunnel boring project

Situation

Groundwater entered the tunnel during boring. It had to be captured and routed away and the points of entry sealed, without stopping the advance.

What we did

Supported the firms involved with a range of application techniques for routing groundwater and controlling infiltration. Worked out the sealing solutions for the affected sections.

Outcome

The water was controlled and the advance continued.

11Zurich and Zug, Switzerland, ongoing

Full automation of a waste heat energy project

Situation

An energy project recovers usable energy from the residual and waste heat of machines and engines. It was to be designed from the start to run largely autonomously.

What we did

DDive is responsible for the entire automation of the company. On the plant side: planning and sizing, design and engineering, concept work, and support across the project, plus the complete software for the machine room, the sensors and the monitoring. On the company side: accounting, personnel planning and the remaining systems an autonomous operation needs. It runs on our own AI architecture, with our own RAG and our own language models.

Outcome

One connected system running plant, monitoring and administration.

Complete packages, not parts.

A sewer contractor rarely needs a single program. He needs a workflow that runs from the inspection to the invoice, and that fits his operation rather than what a software house imagines the trade to be.

DDive builds that workflow. Documentation and reports for the inspections. Rehabilitation planning for what the footage reveals. Automation of internal processes. Our own AI systems, working where they actually remove work. Accounting built for the wastewater trade instead of a standard package from another world. Personnel management. Connections to the tools already in use.

Every package is cut to the individual business. What a business already does well, we leave alone.

Bring us the problem that needs a different approach.
